I'd like to change the position of the icons on the Desktop but I can't do it. I don't know why, but I know that something is wrongly set. The permissions seem to be set alright. After I changed some setting in Preferences of the pcmanfm, I'm allowed to right click on the desktop, but nothing more.

The grub default setting with "no3d" doesn't seem to have any effect at all.

Tried also to change settings to Compiz (dosn't work too), KDE, Metacity - no effect (as root of course).

I've checked testcd and my CD also for error - no at all.

I noticed also, that every time I load tar.gz skin file, there is a tiny rectangle window, that shows that gnome-settings can't load, but the skins are working ... iiik

I'm puzzled with this Knoppix 6.2
