When I set settings in make menuconfig for this scsi drive the compiled kernel can see sda and sdb but cant see sdc (the only scsi drive).

Knowing that knoppix can see all three drives I duplicated all of the scsi items in menuconfig "Scsi Support" as in knoppix and the sdc drive becomes available in gentoo.

After setting so many items in menuconfig I have no idea which ones are vital for Adaptec AIC-7892 other than aic7xxx.

Does anyone know which "Scsi Support" flags are needed for Adaptec AIC-7892?
