knoppix 6.2.1 fails to load - insmod aufs.ko input/output error

Hi

Ive downloaded the latest knoppix cd, verified the md5 fine and burnt at a slow speed. the disc works fine in a new laptop, however when im trying to boot it on a HP server (P3 800mhz, 128mb ram) i get the usual "please do not remove medium until shutdown" and then:

insmod: /mnt-system/KNOPPIX/modules/aufs.ko :input/output error
Could not mount /mnt-system/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX. Starting debugging shell...
sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
/#

Any clues? Ive tried failsafe cheatcode but get the same error. Ive searched high and low but cant find any suggestions which have worked.

You should probably do your 'knoppix checkcd' thingie, on this particular computer.
