Ive had trouble with USB adapters in Knoppix, Knoppix seems to want to "checkmark" the IPv4 and IPv6 "require addressing for this connection to complete" Try unchecking them by right clicking the Network taskbar icon-Edit Connections- wireless tab - select network connection then IPv4 and 6 tabs. Also, realize that many people have wireless problems not from the computer, but from "collision" that is too many wireless signals interfering with each other, or too many reflections ie off a metal building. It makes no difference whether it registers a connection or not, that does not constitute an acceptable connection for network transfer of high speed data. it can say "connected" and never work. Have to be right next to the wireless node to rule out such problems (i.e. extremely strong signal) Best advice, ditch the USB adapter, too slow. the port is 2 MB at best. Ill post a workaround on the main page.
