change knoppix to debian

hi all,

is it adviseable to change a knoppix system to a debian testing system?
by now i have all my service running well on my knoppix box and am quite happy.
so is there any advantage to make it a real debian (besides: never change a running system - but it's my "frickelkiste", my playground! )

If you have a spare partition laying around duplicate your install on it and then go to it that way if you break anything it does not matter.
