Knoppix is, basically, a 32 bits system, even if you can make it kind of hybrid by running with 64-bits kernel. Pure 64-bits needs rebuild - I know at least one way, for I produced a 64-bits version of Knoppix 6.4.4 - is actually writing from that now.
