AMI megaraid recognized, but freezes boot
Hi -
Looks like the AMI megaraid driver is almost working. This is on a Dell 1550 system with the Perc3/DC controller, which is an AMI Megaraid in disguise
It gets stuck at the
Scanning for Harddisk partitions and creating /etc/fstab
This happens with predefined partitions, or with a freshly initialized raid5 array with no partitions at all. If I yank the megaraid card and just use the onboard Adaptec it works fine with the aic7xxx.o driver.
I really would like to get Knoppix working with the array though. I do have several "normal" Debian installations running on identical hardware, both woody and sarge.
Any ideas ?
Dean.
