problems installing

I have the latest Knoppix, but i cant instal much because once the disc has booted up my mouse pointer is in the top left corner and wont come out. If i try to move the pointer it comes out so far then goes back into the corner.

Have you tried to search for possible answers? There are hundreds of error reports about install problems, with answers. If you had checked out and eliminated some of them first, it would be more worthwhile to discuss. But suffice to say that it's above 90% probability that it's trivial. Would YOU be very eager to answer the same question the umpteenth time before the guy asking hadn't cared to do his homework?
