CVS-KDE KNOPPIX

Hi all,
I have begun remastering a KDE 3.2 CVS Knoppix. The procedure requires doing a dist upgrade to Deb unstable. All goes well, especially the KDE but it would seem gcc is flaky. It won't build the kernel? Has anybody ran into this with deb unstable?

Orth, a KDE Developer, has already made a KDE CVS Knoppix. It's just beta at the moment so isn't released, but it will be released soon.

Which version of gcc are you using? If you build the kernel with gcc 2.95 it should work fine to check which version ls -l /usr/bin/gcc
to use 2.95 before you compile export CC=/usr/bin/gcc-2.95.
