doesnt find external HD

i have a 120GB western digital external harddrive. knoppix doesnt find it. i am kinda new to linux so go easy on me.

i am running from the cd only. it finds my 2 cd drives and floppy drive fine. what can i do get knoppix to find it?

I think the problem with you getting a reply to your posting is due to the fact that nobody has really dealt with firewire devices here. That being said you may want to subscribe to the developers list and see if you can get an answer there.
