hey, i'm new to knoppix and linux. when i try to enable my cable internet i get the message: root pass:
i've never entered any pass in knoppix, so i don't know what that pass is. does this pass have a particular value that can be changed? i couldn't find it on the website.
can any1 help me with this?

Hi
Passwords in knoppix are disabled by default.
However if you want to set a root password do
$sudo passwd
from console . It will be lost when you reboot
Regarding your original query can u be more specific
like how you are trying to set up cable modem.
