my monitor is on vacation

when i boot off the CD it goes good and does its stuf in comand line, but when it starts the GUI all of a sudden my monitor goes blank, also the lite on it turns orange, the same color the light turns when i go into sleep mode.

when i turn off the on the monitor i get it jsut long enough to see a flash of the GUI then the screen goes blank and that little LED turns orange again.



if it helps any i have an E-machinnes computer with a voodo 3000 added to it, this means that cuz its e-machines there is also a crapy video card integrated into the mother board that cant be removed.
i dont think this is the source of my problem, but it could be (when i plug the monitor into the second crapy video card it does the same thing)

Try the cheat coed noddc to stop auto-detection of the monitor and maybe noapm for no power management also.
