I can't get on the internet with the knoppix cd.

I installed it to the hard drive. What I eventually found out was that as su I had to "mii-tool -F 10base T-HD eth0" to force my nic. Then pppoeconf as normal.

I tried to do this in a root shell with the knoppix cd but it doesn't work.

Any Ideas?

My ISP is wanadoo.nl

I am using the COM 21 cable modem. This uses static ip with pppoe.
