Knoppix sound problems

Whenever i boot knoppix from a cd it keeps saying "initiating, initiating, initiating..." over and over even when i get to the gui. This doesnt happen when i use Knoppix-std only when i use regular knopix.Does anyone know how to fix this?

oh to clarify it a little more, its a voice in the backround not a text message

It's having problems reading a .ogg file. Why, I don't know.

Have you tried booting with

knoppix alsa

?

i dont know what knoppix alsa is? Is it just another version of knoppix? I just thought it was kinda strange that it didnt have this problem in Knoppix-std just regular knoppix
