i'm trying to set up my l'espion by DigitalDream for use as a proper webcam

it works with gphoto2 perfectly, and on my previous install it worked fine as a V4L device, xawtv was able to view it fine

but it doesn't seem to now.

when i try to start up xawtv i get this error:
