How to force knoppix to recognise my Intel 536EP modem

Can any tell me what I need to do to make knoppix that use my hard modem Intel 536EP, I downloaded drivers from Sweex web site for Linux but they don't work.

I gotta watch this thread. I'm doing a project that requires my remaster to support a cheap PCI modem, and this is the one I was planning to use. I got the drivers from Intel's site. Shouldn't it just use the dirver if the driver is installed? That's all you have to do with NIC drivers.....
