Knoppix hardware booting problems

hi to all, i'm another newbie, and obviously i've got my problem to tell you. I've read some parts of the faq, but not all, anyway the knoppix cd starts and goes until the autoconfiguring hardware... the bar arrives to 100% and it says 'done'... after the computer stops.
Is a ntfs problem? I try the normal way (knoppix lang=it) and the failsafe, but every time it stops in that point, there are no errors anyway before this event, it recognizes cpu,ram,usb,hd and cdrom.
The Pc hasn't problems with xp or mandrake.

My Configuration:
Amd Duron 850mhz
Motherboard Asus a7v133 + Ata100promise (is it the problem?) + integrated audio (disabled)
256 ram sdram
geforce 2mx
sound blaster 5.1
hd maxtor 60gb (with 3 ntfs partitions, only one with os)
cd liteon 32x12x40
cd lg 52x
monitor compaq 1024 not plug and play

other components disabled during booting:
modem adsl ericcson (mandrake recognizes it)
printer canon bj6200
joystick trust

Try using with either the knoppix lang=it or failsafe the cheat codes xmodule=nv noddc.

I have the same problem, and neither of those worked.

My setup...
AMD Althon 2200+
GeForce 3
2 Hard Drives, NTFS
Creative 5x PC-DVD drive
Generic CD-Writer
Albatron KX-400-8x Motherboard w/onboard audio
256 MB ram

I tested the cd on other computers and it works fine.
very frustrating.
