My friend's screen goes blank when he tries to boot his hdd install of knoppix. Does he need to reinstall it, and this time use the cheatcode knoppix xmodule=nv before running the install script? Would that do anything? Or does he need to tweak the XF86Config from text mode on his current install?

I'm more of a remastering kind of guy and always run booted from the CD, so I don't know what to tell him to try....
