To save the setting goto the "K" start then -->knoppix, then -->configure, and second choice from the bottom is save settings, you can save it to a floopy or save it to the HD, then when you boot knoppix you can tell it to use the saved config, on my setup I boot knoppix with the command "knoppix myconfig=scan lang=us" and it finds my saved config on the HD.
