Boot to Knoppix from DOS

HELP

I try to boot from DOS, resp. Caldera-DOS, cause we have disabled to
boot from booting devices. So i must via net let start C-DOS. Than I have
floppy where i have loadlin and from boot image extracted vmlinuz and
miniroot.gz. But last i can get is to starting Init 2.78. After this just check
processor(OK) and found and enabling APM. After this tottaly freeze.

Have any ide what with? I try various parameters from bootimage from
file syslinux.cfg from first setion DEFAULT. But still cant get trough init 2.78.
Also found dos syslinux, but it cannot run. if i run syslinux -s a: its return
back to DOS without error mesage, but also without running boot sequence.

Any idea? '(

loadlin c:vmlinuz root=/dev/shm rw initrd=c:miniroot.gz

may work.

doesn't sounds like a booting problem as you see INIT meaning the kernel has successfully mount the root device and find the INIT program(the first program or the control program for linux). More like hardware related issue like wrong driver being loaded/probed.

Thing that not, cause on the same computers, when CD was boot
enabled, it works absolutely fine. After this was only disabled boot,
no other hw upgrade, change and etc was realized.

I have just one complementary little question, exist some parameter for nonautomatic boot from
this, for example when i want to pass knoppix spc. commands. In now it simply run without
bootlogo and awaiting for specific commands..

yesterda it works fine, today nowhere. Maybe i just paranoid, but i have
feeling that the stupid admin here is watching me and after this cangings
parameters for i cannot next day to run in knoppix, uaaaaaaaaaaaaa ((

the parameters are given with the loadlin command, just add them to the end.
