    harddisk Asrock k7s8x fails!

With this board I used the ordinary install .. Fails......at boottup error "only one processor found" ...... stop
here it is an (AThlon XP-2800)
With the option "no apic" the install runs smoothly without hitches. but at first bootup
with the newly installed system the procedure doesn't find the hda..... inerrupt lost.

    inerrupt lost !!!!!!!

    Any suggestions ???
    Thank you from

    Interupt lost! Interrupt lost!

Better go out and find it.
The best interruptions usually include a bit of beer and cheese.

I was interrupted last night by my moth.....Nothing...

afaik this concerns a "lost" interrupt.
Alan Cox's -ax__ pre-patches (current ac4) seems to fix it
for a lot of people. Other approch is to disable IO_APIC on
    uni processors during kernel compile.

    Happy compiling
