IRC Client

Hey all
Im trying out Knoppix (From CD)...
On my desktop i see 2 harddisks, both NTFS and it sais i cant write to them, anybody help plz

And something else, I run mostly windows XP, but if im on Knoppix, i want to get a IRC Client, plz tell me about a good one.
Can i just install it to my harddisk when im on Knoppix, and i wont f**k up windows with it? And i can just click it and it starts up?
Sorry for the massive amount of questions but im a total n00b.

Oh and btw,
I use both partitions for windows, C: is just for the drivers and XP, and D: is for all my music and games and other stuff

You can't do much in NTFS.
But you can try this site and you will be able to do what you want.

And about the IRC client there is a couple on KNOPPIX (Like: Gaim)
and if you don't like it search for something in SourceForge.

There's Xchat already installed in knoppix - another alternative is kvirc.
