With all the added programs and mixture of stable, testing, and unstable Debian packages, things were gettting a little squirrly. One thing about "apt-get upgrade", when it's working, it's great, when it runs into problems though, it can be a real bear to sort it out. I imagine it works a lot better when you stick to the specific Debian distribution levels.
Anyway, at one point I decided the easiest course of action would be to back up what I wanted to keep (home directories, etc.) and just re-install and start again and restore my existing home directories, saved programs, etc.. Since doing the re-install, RealPlayer is running very slow and it looks like it's trying to stream at 299 kb/s. I set it to play at a max of 256 kb/s.
Not really had much time to do a lot of troubleshooting yet but does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?
BTW - used GAG as the boot manager this time - man is that easy to set up. Highly recommended.
