Problems with hotplug

i try knoppix 3.2 but on startup when the system found hotplug manager the boot stop with no message errors and i must restart the system...

why??

is it possible that is a hardware problem??

It's possible. Are you running any dodgy USB devices? Is there an IRQ conflict (try setting the bios to non plug 'n play OS).
