I have AMD Duron700, and I've tried to run Knoppix 3.3 on it...
After running knoppix lang=us as boot-command, it displays:
initrd extend beyond end of memory (0x2bff7a00 > 0x2bff0000)
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:01
The configuration is: Duron 700, 768 MB RAM, 20 GB disk (splitted on 2 partitions) + 5 GB, CD rom, DVD rom, ISDN card, onboard graphic card and network card...
Operating system is Win2000 SP3, all disks are FAT32...
What is happening... is it hardware fault, software, incompatibility with AMD (I've had the same problem with Knoppix 3.2), or something else...
