keep getting error when trying to play games that came with knoppix std.

perhaps you have a corrupt CD?

no, everything seems to work so far. excellent cd. i thought since i know nothing about knoppix std it could be something simple. im sure it is because like i said it works.

you should boot it with the testcd cheatcode, just to make sure. Sometimes it's just one or two files that are corrupt and if they aren't major everything else will work fine.

ok what is a cd cheatcode and how?

right when you start up you get a screen that says Knoppix - at the bottom there is a prompt that says
boot:

you want to type
knoppix testcd

hit enter and startup will continue then it will give you a message about checking the md5sum of a file, just wait for it to run though, it will either tell you which file failed, or start up normally
