radeon 9800 (non-pro) configuration on knoppix 3.3

Could somebody please tell me how to configure radeon 9800 graphics card on knoppix 3.3 please...because i can't probe my monitor

While were asking questions, has anybody got the new ati drivers working with Knoppix? Is there a way to use them with the default CD like there is for the nVidia drivers?

o.k i got my radeon 9800 working on knoppix 3.3...all you have to do download the drivers from the ati website and then you have to convert them to .deb file...you will have to install the alien tools for debian. and then follow the instruction on the manual...then you can easily configure it
