Pinnacle PCTV Help
I have a Pinnacle PCTV card that worked correctly when running from the CD and after a debian type installation, but before configuring my ethernet interface. Now I get static on each channel even when I configure xawtv correctly. Here are the relevent messages from dmesg:

Can anyone tell me if the problem lies here? If so, how can I correct it? Thanks!

The details are a little sketchy but I'll give it a whirl, since I'm using a pinnacle pctv card when booting from CD as well as a hard drive install.
Since you know things work from the CD distro, you may want to boot the cd distribution again, setup your channels, etc. and save the working .xawtv config file somewhere that you can get to it later.
Copy that file to your hard drive install home directory, and you'll have all your channels, correct input settings, etc. Everything should work fine. If not, give your results and more detail.
Good luck.
