scsi wants to send more data thean expected

ok newbie here ive downloaded like three version of linux..lol ark didnt work at all on the boot up i got knoppix to do something and got in in failsafe just to have a look at what it was like etc...

Im having problems with installing it and did a search on the topic some people had similar problems, i realise all someone can do is sugest different things if ur kind enough to post a reply.

the problem is with the scsi disk i think it says after searching loads of ports and stuff that the scsi wants to send more data thean expected i tried the dma thing that got it moving a bit then i tried the no{scsi} thing that didnt seem to do much im so close but been qt it all day..lol

so im on my third version from an ftp its gonna take 9 hours to download so hope it works..lol

I realise i havnt got a clue but you know hopefully ill learn in time, any sugestions please in simple form im no programmer/hacker are welcome.

    very welcome, i thank you
