I have older HD installd Knoppix 1/03 for my testing system, and printing via CUPS to my printer server based laser was working great.

It has now stopped, no printing when on the LAN or via direct connection to the parallel port. Nothing.

I've removed, redone the printers in Printer Manager, same thing, parallel or LAN. I am out theories on how to correct.

When printing either LAN or parallel, it dumps it to the queue and thats where it stays. SOME TIMES via LAN it will send a few bits of data to the printer like its going to print, then it stops. Normally it just doesn't send anything.

Setup:

Lexmark Optra E+ laser
EdiMax PrintSir printer server (lpd://192.168.0.2/lpt1)
Knoppix 1/31/03 HD installed

I can print to it via the LAN fine under wimpdoze, but not via Knoppix as I could when I first set it up. I don't print things that often so didn't notice it till I needed to print recently.
