Hi everyone, I'm running Knoppix off of the CD in textmode. I've saved modem settings and stuff with the saveconfiguration script, and created a persistent home directory.--both are saved to /dev/hda1. I boot knoppix with the following cheatcodes. knoppix 2 home=scan myconfig=scan. Just before it gives me the command prompt tries to chown a bunch of files--literally hundreds of files in the //knoppix path. And also tries to chown all the Windows98 files on /dev/hda1. It gives error messages of -readonly file system for the files. It finally gets done and gives me a command prompt, but it takes a couple of minutes to do this. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?
