Remastered

I was recently talking with a friend. She observed how many of our favorites from the seventies are being reissued in a remastered edition. That prompted her to ask me if I knew what was involved in the process of remastering. I wasn't to sure, so here I am asking if anyone here knows what involved in this process.

Remastering is a word you need to break down to understand.

To have a master of something is usually what you make copies from. In this case you are making a re-master by adding or removing choice apps and functions then allowing others to copy your master. It is not the original master it is now a remaster.
