SB LIve not working in Knoppix 3.3

yeah I have Knoppix 3.3 installed on my hard drive,

and my SB LIve Value card isn't working.

its being detected using driver EMU101k like its supposed to and all,

but its not playing any sound, its using the PC speaker instead.

any ideas?

this happened when booting from the CD as well.

I think I have one of these cards. Why is it the 'simple' things are the hard things in Linux and the really hard things just work! - Simple things like setting up hardware handshaking on the serial port! (it's stty crtscts < /dev/ttyS1 - 'set teletype!!!!' - but that is another story).

Running 'sndconfig' sorted mine out.

If you want to use the joystick port on this soundcard..... please ask!
