    Welcome jc_gizmo,

    The live CD booted KNOPPIX can print and save files.

    To save a few files -- just copy onto a floppy.

    To save all you work and files in the home directory
    you use K -->KNOPPIX --> Configure --> Create a persistent
    home. This can be on flash memory, a usb stick, a loop file
    on a hard drive, a partition on a hard drive (but not ntfs),
    Zip or even CDRW.

    You will also find Configure printers on the way to that menu.

    Check out the Docs and when you get good at KNOPPIX
    write some better Docs to help others.

    Best Wishes,
    paradocs
