Because Knoppix does not have DMA support enabled for devices by default, and it is very slow to copy so many files I think a reminder is in order in the remster guide. It may not be much for those who do not remaster often but I do, and it makes things go so much smoother.

hdparm -d1 /dev/hdX (speed up copying)
