Long live Knoppix! But while it's living so well, a bit of help for a decent IT level but linux newby newcomer to this distro would be appreciated.

Created two new users and used KUser to duplicate the rights the knoppix user has. Plan is to get rid of knoppix user for security concerns on my fresh hd-install box.

Problem: when these users are part of the 'knoppix' group or the 'users' group, they have no shortcuts for devices (hdb, floppy, cd, dvd) from desktop, and cannot access them from a terminal.

Quick fix? Go ahead, show me the way, I have to learn sometime...
