I can't run an apt-get update -t unstable fully yet! Didn't they get things fixed? All runs but when it gets to 88% and attempts to do the people.debian.org stuff, it waits and then ends unable to get all.
Is the security problem still in shutdown? Is there anything that I can do?
PLEASE I have been at this for a couple of weeks and still don't know if there is something wrong on my own system.
their servers were compromised. you can apt-get from the usual source but not things on peoples.debian.org as they lock out all accounts as they suspect local root exploit which can only be prevented(at the moment) by not allowing any login shell except some really trusted insiders.
In the meantime, you can adapt your /etc/apt/sources.list and use one of the mirrors.
