As you may know by now i have Sound Blaster 5.1 (my sound card) and a portable MiniDisc from sony with a device (Sony Cav-5) to connect to my computer by Usb so i can pass my music to MiniDisc, so far so good but.....

When i start Knoppix or even Windows XP the first device that Knoppix or XP assumes as default sound device is the Sony Cav-5 and not my SB Live 5.1, in windows XP is very easy to solve this, i go to sound options and change the Sony Cav-5 to the SB Live 5.1, click apply and voilá, no problems......

tough i don't know how to do the same thing knoppix, i assume that this is easy but i can't find how to do it.
