:timeout waiting for DMA

Hi I have installed knoppix 3.2 and often especialy in console(pure console
without runnig X11) my computer blocks displaying this message:

:timeout waiting for DMA
hda:ide_dna_timeout:Let's do it again!stat= 0 x 58
dma_stat = 0 x 20

bug: kernel timer aded twice at c019b6c1

sometimes computer blocks in KDE or wmaker but without any message
so i must restart him again. Please help. THANKS ! ! !

If you're booting Knoppix from cd try using a cheatcode

knoppix nodma

If you're booting from hdd then disable dma w/ hdparm. (use -d flag).
