hello.. not sure where to put this so i put it here....

I'm New to linux and i have been reading and reading and can't find nothen to help me....ok when i load knoppix it says fdomain not found then lil bit father it says pci card disabled go to biaos and put 'pnp os' to 'No'. But i can't find the bios to do this?

ok now it won't detect my nic card either so i run netconfig and it says its not found so i ran ifconfig and here is wha i got...

It is different for every computer, but to set up the BIOS try the keys esc, F1, F2, or delete as soon as you turn on the computer (or sometimes when it is doing the memory check thing). One of those should work.

i'm just really wanten to use the net and toy lil wit linux.. when i get me a computer i'm going to install redhat9 but tell then i wanted to run knoppix and kinda get the feel of it and everything but i was stumped when it couldn't find my nic
