I have two harddisks connected to my computer. One containing a standard x86 disklabel, and one containing a BSD-disklabel created by parted.

Knoppix, as the only linux-distro i can recall, detects the disklabel on my secund drive during boot. (Impressing) How is this done? (Do you patch the kernel / use hidden configurations?) When I compile my own kernel and turns on BSD-disklabelsupport it still wont work.
