I've been trying to get Partimaged to work with Knoppix in order to save partition images from my Win2k/Linux laptop to a spare machine in my office. Knoppix is especially well suited for this as the machine normally runs another flavor of Linux and I can easily mount the / partition for saving images.

The issue I've found (and help I need) is that 'partimaged' (the server daemon) has some expectations of finding a 'partimagedusers' file which doesn't exist and can't be created in a read-only file system.

If anyone can offer help or step-by-step instructions on using partimage with Knoppix, I would greatly appreciate the help.
