    network

    k im using the knoppix live cd and it detects me ethernet card but i still can't get into teh internet who can help me and y is this happeing

    what does ifconfig report? Try

    # ifconfig eth0 up
    # pump -i eth0

    That brings eth0 up and asks for a dhcp address.
