I have tried to save my config from the knoppix menu in kde and that works fine it goes onto floppy ok,but when i reset my lappy and boot with knoppix floppyconfig it does not load the configs back in so i get the same setup as when i first booted knoppix.Now heres the strange thing when i used knoppix on M$ virtal pc it saves and restores the config just fine, i can then take the floppy from the virtal pc to my lappy and it will use the config fine on restart whats up with my lappy? ive never thought of using Linux before and well as my lappy HD is dead knoppix is perfect for me.

Another prob no sound,it dectects my sound card at boot with the following
es1978maestro2e and loads the maestro driver but no sound when i try to start it in kde any ideas please help a new Linux newbie.
