HELp!!!!!!!!!!

I have a fairly new Compaq Laptop. I have tried running SUSE9, Redhat9, Mandrake 9.2, and now Knoppix-STD with the express purpose of using my PCMCIA cards (Cisco Aironet 340, Wavelan IEEE, and Senao Wireless) to check for Rogue access points.

When using Knoppix-STD (or any other nix), at bootup, if my wireless card is inserted, my system freezes. Same result with all three cards, also the same result if I try to insert card (after bootup, via cardctl insert).

Is there anyway to make them work?
