knoppix 3.2?
Does anyone know when Knoppix 3.2 will be released, presumably with kde3.1, as this is a pretty major release that a new version of 3.1 wont be sufficient for?
That will be impressive, kde3.1 seems to be significantly faster that 3.0, which should compensate for the speed disadvantage knoppix has as it loads from cd.

Eadz has already produced a remastered version of knoppix with KDE 3.1 on it and I can tell you from experience that it is really nice.
You will find the download link here: http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.php/KnoppixKDE
It is filled almost exclusievly with KDE apps (e.g. no Open Office). If you need apps like that, then just bear this in mind when downloading. It does have the Gimp though.

Firstly, Knoppix doesn't have a speed disadvantage. In my experience it loads faster off the cd than it does from the hard drive. This could be due to the fact that ISO9660 is a READ OPTIMIZED filesystem.
Secondly,
Klaus said in an email to me :
I'm already finished with integration of KDE 3.1 on the official version
(which will be 3.2). I'm planning to release it on CeBit 2003. Since
people are keeping me busy with emails, and I have to travel a lot
during the next weeks, there will be not much chance of a new release
before the official 3.2, though.
CeBit 2003 is in about a month.

As far as the KDE 3.1 stuff goes, I believe that eadz made his own debs. You'd need to talk to him about that.
