Question Regarding bootup

I've installed Knoppix onto my harddrive all is running fine (i think). The only thing is that it ask's for the boot disk that was created after the install. it's not a big deal but is there a way to have knoppix boot from the harddrive without the boot disk? I installed the LILO boot up program assuming that it will allow me to boot up without the floppy disk.

Sounds like you can get away with just installing lilo again. Make sure that /etc/lilo.conf says:

boot=/dev/hda

root=/dev/hda?

I presume that you have 1 hdd and that knoppix is your only OS. Simply specify the partition that you installed knoppix to for 'root='. Then of course you'll need to rerun lilo as root.
