Blank Boot Screen

Hey everyone,
My problems are similar to the ones from the following posts:

I am able to access the intro screen, but typing anything after that such as knoppix xmodule=ati|radeon|, and various other combinations and additions does not solve my problem of a blank screen.

My system is a Dell Inspiron 5150 with a Radeon 9000 Mobility. I have tried all the xmodule combinations such as vesa, fbdev, etc.

I am still continuing to get an error. I would appreciate any suggestions

Seems like you are having the smp kernel problem.
This should fix it:

(which unfortunaltely involves getting another iso image and burning it to cd first)

However, Moustache claims he can now boot the latest Knoppix using only the nosmp cheat code:
http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8053
That doesn't work for me (I have another machine though) but he says he's upgraded the BIOS so you might want to try doing that first.

Thanks I'll try the second method first and if that doesn't work, I'll use your first method second. Haha.
