I have to try something stupid. I have a knoppix version that starts an application that I want to demo. As part of the startup it copies over a database directory into ~/ and starts the database server.

Here is a question. Is it possible to make the ramdrive a compressed file system? The database directory is nearly 200Megs. I'm hoping to save some space this way.
