apmd[63] main() open() failed

hello everyone,

I am new to knoppix. I'm trying to boot knoppix 3.3 and I get the following error : apmd[63] main() open() failed no such device

and then nothing happens it just freezes...

I need your input

It's the Advanced Power Management failing
Try with the cheat code noapm.
Usage: At the boot prompt type: Knoppix noapm (plus other cheatcodes you might need)

It worked partially, it still freezes a bit further... right after it detects my sound card it freezes with no message. I tried with other cheat codes but it still does not work. Would you have another tip for me.

Did you try adding alsa?

knoppix noapm alsa

You can start with:

 knoppix failsafe

so you'll at least get a login and can take a look at your hardware with:

lspci -v
